Stories behind pictures
COOK INLET, ALASKA
I have been dreaming about Alaska for a long time and finally created an adventure for the whole family including the dogs. Our experience flying with the dogs brought the experience to a new level. Right in the middle of Sea-Tac, Freya took a crap in the middle of the concourse. Quickly the Sea-Tac maintenance crew put up cones and flagged off the area with “Do Not Cross” tape and we moved on with that scene in our rear-view mirror as we headed to security. I forgot I had a stainless steel pocket knife on me so I handed that over, was pulled aside and was frisked. We landed at Anchorage and the van we reserved was too small for the dog crates so we had to upgrade which made for more difficulty. Then we headed south down the Kenai Peninsula towards Homer. The picture above is of Mount Redoubt, a volcano across Cook Inlet from Anchor Point after 11pm near the summer solstice.
